Put on your thinking caps and get ready to get creative with all of these STEAM-y activities. Instructor: Tahalia Edwards
Title: Roller Coaster Physics Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Did you know that roller coasters are carefully designed using the science of physics? Learn how physics makes a roller coaster ride fun by understanding the laws of motion, force, energy, gravity, friction and speed. Through a series of experiments and hands-on activities, you will be able to design your very own roller coaster. By the end of the course, you would have built a marble coaster that works. Instructor: Ontoya Fowler
Title: STEM in Action Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Join us for “STEM in Action”! Explore, Design, Build, And Create. STEM in action will give students an opportunity to engage in unique, high- energy STEM activities with heavy emphasis on the Math. They will appeal to students of varying abilities. Students will have opportunities to conduct math investigations, use technology tools, while they will build stuff, run and jump, make music, and create a mess… Students will get to do mischief-making activities as Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice and Toilet Paper Olympics, and take home some cool gadgets, too.
