Dr. Dawn White
Certified Teacher and Administrator
Dr. Dawn White Co-Director, is a creative educator and innovative administrator with 35 years of teaching experience. For 20 years, she was a gifted program teacher promoting critical and creative thinking. Also, she worked in a variety of teaching position including English Second Language (ESL), Early Intervention Program (EIP), and Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM).
She has received numerous awards for her unique and effective educational approach including the Gwinnett Gifted Teacher of the Year and the Georgia Association for Gifted Children Margaret Bynum. She continues to present at national and state conferences.
Ms. Mona Brawley
Certified Teacher with Endorsement in Computer Science
Mona Brawley Co-Director, is an innovative and creative educator with 30 years of teaching experience. For 20 years she has worked with gifted students as a gifted program, gifted math, and Genius Hour instructor. Using her math endorsement, she worked as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Specialist and Lego Robotics Coach, and Science and Engineering Fair Coordinator.
She was the recipient of the Gifted Teacher of the Year Award (2018), Local Teacher of the Year (2020), and selected top 25 semifinalists for Gwinnett County Teacher of the Year (2020). She was selected as a Computer Science Curator for the Gwinnett County Science department to create and model sample lesson plans for Computer Science teachers.
Mr. Lamonte Leath
Mr. Lamonte Leath, Assistant Director, builds legacy-minded leaders — not by producing followers, but by empowering individuals to think, act, and lead from their purpose. As the Founder of Legacy Driven Foundation, he provides one-on-one and small group mentorship, develops strategic youth programming designed to guide students in their academic, social, emotional, and life transitions.
Since 2017, his mentoring program has inspired K through 12th grade students (and beyond) to strive for excellence in life. In 2009, Mr. Leath started PreVision Designs as a Digital Strategist offering web development, branding, CMS development, email marketing, and digital consulting
Dr. Valora Richardson
Dr. Valora Richardson, Teacher and Van Driver, is a visionary leader at the intersection of education, technology, and human transformation. With a Ph.D. and more than two decades of experience in higher education, she has served in pivotal roles at Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Hampton University, and UNCF—advancing online learning, faculty development, and digital innovation.
As the founder of Destined Innovations, LLC, Dr. Richardson designs culturally responsive digital learning solutions, authentic assessment models, and AI-driven strategies that prepare learners for a future shaped by technology.
Ms. Brenda Parker
Ms. Brenda Parker, Primary Grades Teacher, started and currently directing Impact Pre-School for 3 months to 5-year-old children. Her expertise is teaching children how to read and solve basic math problems. For over 20 years, Ms. Parker has been creating a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of instructional methods and resources.
She designed the preschool following the advice of her students’ parents. At Impact STEAM Academy, she provides individualized instruction to meet the needs of her students with varying intellectual and physical abilities. Her specialty is teaching phonics.
