Title: Brain Teasers Session: Morning & Afternoon
Students will engage in solving logic puzzles, brain teasers, and word/number games. The purpose of this class is to promote flexible and creative thinking using both the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It will also improve the students’ spatial thinking and memory/concentration skills. Instructor: Aretha Hill
Title: Everyday STEAM Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Students will hone their science inquiry skills through observing, investigating, experimenting, and designing. They will build and create free standing structures from everyday materials, explore chemical reactions, magnetism, and more. Instructor: Ariana Chester
Title: Science Exploration Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Do you want to design investigations and find answers to your questions that you have always pondered? What better way to spend your summer than to embark on this journey with your peers? Here are some of the topics we will delve in this summer: hydroponic gardening, bubble science, space travel, and extreme weather. It’s time to “get your hands dirty” as you journey through the World of Science. Instructor: Shaletha Lightfoot

Students will use their creativity to develop some awesome STEM projects! Activities will include building a catapult, making a bridge, thinking like the 3 little pigs architectural designing, and so much more. Title: Roller Coaster Physics Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Did you know that roller coasters are carefully designed using the science of physics? Learn how physics makes a roller coaster ride fun by understanding the laws of motion, force, energy, gravity, friction and speed. Through a series of experiments and hands-on activities, you will be able to design your very own roller coaster. By the end of the course, you would have built a marble coaster that works. Title: STEM in Action Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Join us for “STEM in Action”! Explore, Design, Build, And Create. STEM in action will give students an opportunity to engage in unique, high- energy STEM activities with heavy emphasis on the Math. They will appeal to students of varying abilities. Students will have opportunities to conduct math investigations, use technology tools, while they will build stuff, run and jump, make music, and create a mess… Students will get to do mischief-making activities as Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice and Toilet Paper Olympics, and take home some cool gadgets, too. Title: Toy Design Entrepreneur Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Design the next big toy for children using creative problem-solving skills. In this fun class, you will play with a variety of toys, analyze their appeal, and design a toy for specific customers. Then you will set up a business to market and sell your toy. Instructor: Wendy Arnoux
Title: Electricity & Magnetism Session: Morning
Are you curious about electricity and how it powers our world? Do you wonder where the force of a magnet comes from and how strong it can be in our universe? Here you will explore how the worlds of electricity and magnetism collide to help us perform daily activities. Using the Snap Circuit Jr. kit, you will be able to design several electrical circuit models. Instructor: Kimberly Young

Do you know that your favorite sweet treats can help you understand science methods and concepts? Are you interested in the science of cookies? Have you ever thought about regrowing kitchen scrapes? If you are interested in the combination of my favorite two things-food and science and don’t mind playing with your food -then this course is for you! Enter the world of geometry by designing your own mini-golf course! Discover the fun in learning and using various types of angles and degrees to create a model of a golf course. Instructor: Kimberly Young
Title: STEAM Challenges Sessions: Morning & Afternoon
Can you build the fastest water slide, pack the most stuff in a trunk, or keep chocolate candy from melting? Do you love a challenge? Summer STEM Challenge is just for you! Students will explore summertime situations through observation and inquiry. Teams will work together to engineer solutions to a problem using creativity and critical thinking.
